The Mandalorian was released on the Disney+ streaming service on November 12th and currently has two episodes available to watch. The big question for the series is what impact if any will this show, have on the future of the Star Wars lore and more importantly the new Star Wars “Rise of Skywalker” movie.

**Mandalorian Spoilers Ahead**

The series currently follows a Mandalorian bounty hunter trying to bring his new bounty in for the reward. The conflict with the bounty currently in his possession is that it is a “baby”. A baby Yoda type being in fact. Could the Mandalorian be so heartless to trade in this “baby” for the reward? What will happen to the little green creature if he does?

While we wait for more episodes to answer these questions, we can speculate on what impact this show will have on the new Rise of Skywalker movie.  Let’s look at the single biggest thing Baby Yoda did that could appear in the next Star Wars film.

At one point in the show, the Mandalorian is attacked by some pig lizard looking creatures and his arm gets badly cut. After the fight, the Mandalorian tries to tend to his wounds. Baby Yoda tries to approach the bounty hunter and holds out its tiny little hand, and looks to be using the force to help heal his wounds. Before anything can be done though, the Mandalorian picks up the 50-year-old child and places it back into his egg-shaped vessel bed. Could Baby Yoda just have hinted that Force healing is a thing?

Force healing has never been used in the Star Wars filmography to my knowledge and could be a huge game-changer for the characters in the next Star Wars movie. Could Kylo Ren or Rey be in need of some Force healing and will a “Force Healer” be someone they call on? Will that “healer” be a Yoda type being?

Maybe a “Force Healer” is a little far fetched, maybe Ren or Rey will find a way to be able to use the force to heal the other. This small few seconds in the second episode of the Mandalorian could just be a key to part of the plot in the new “Rise of Skywalker” movie. We just have to wait a few more weeks to find out.
