Supergirl starring Melissa Benoist in the CW is set to be cancelled after the end of season 6. The show which originally aired on CBS was sent over to the CW to be a apart of the networks superhero shows. Supergirl had a good first season and an okay second season but after that it fell off. The only redeeming thing is that Jon Cryer was cast as Lee Luther.

The show also introduced us to Superman and Lois as well as a few other cast of characters. I believe that because Superman and Lois got picked up by the CW Supergirl is ending. I feel like having two characters with a show of their own that has the same power base may upset fans. I also think that Supergirl and the main characters of the show will move to another show. Maybe to legends or maybe to be a part of the Superman and Lois show.

Why do I think that? Well because they have just started the Justice League the Earths are all combined now to Earth one and they’re just going to end that? Well Supergirl might have to go from being on her own to an ensemble show. Which in my opinion she could fit into any title the CW has on the air at the moment.

The one thing I want to see is how Martian Manhunter and Alex Danvers are handled in the closing episodes of the series. Manhunter has been one of my favorite characters of the show and seeing him get some recognition in live action and having it taken away is going to suck. Alex Danvers would be a great fit for Legends. She’s a good supporting character.

Supergirl had a good run better than expected since it has aired on two networks. The character isn’t as popular as Superman and still carried 6 seasons. I mean thats a good number for any television show especially one that lost a majority of its viewer ship in the last couple years.

What do you guys think about Supergirl being cancelled on the CW after 6 seasons? Do you feel like this cast needs to go to other shows? Do you feel like maybe it’s a good time to end the show? I hope to get some more information soon!
