Before reading, please note that there are Avengers: ENDGAME spoilers ahead.

Wouldn’t it be great if Tony Stark could live on in the MCU? That we could still get our fill of Ironman in some way, shape, or form? Well, what if he can? Disclaimer: before I begin I have not yet seen Spider-Man: Far From Home so this is going off an epiphany I had this morning. Maybe the new Spider-Man film will confirm or shatter my theory, but here it is anyway.

Stark appeared to meet his ultimate end in Avengers: ENDGAME but being the creative inventor he is, could have again digitized himself. Maybe he could be a “force ghost” like Obi-Wan Kenobi, or better yet be the new Jarvis to Peter Parker. What if Stark put his voice into some of the hardware he’s created, like the glasses from the trailer of Spider-Man: Far From Home.

If that is the case, Robert Downey Jr. never has to be on set, put on the Tony Stark or Iron Man wardrobe again. In fact, he might not even need to record voice lines for any Marvel movie going forward if this is how his character will be immortalized going forward in the MCU.

How is this possible? Adobe VoCo. Disney/Marvel could use this new Adobe product to bring RDJ’s Irong Man back to life and live on for generations. This software would allow Disney to use pre-recorded voice samples of Downey Jr. and create entirely new voice lines that RDJ never even said. Don’t believe me? The technology debuted at an Adobe Max Conference in 2016 during one of their “Sneaks” panel featuring Jordan Peele. Check out a video here.

It would be great to know that Tony Stark could still live on through his genius work as a scientist and inventor showcasing how smart he really was (is?) and still mentor the young Peter Parker to become the next leader of the new Avengers team that is sure to form in the future of the MCU.
