The team gathers to discuss the Netflix true crime documentary series The Staircase.  This episode reviews in detail how the defense and prosecution handled the murder of Kathleen Peterson and may not be suitable for younger listeners.

During the discussion, Joe, Danny and Erica dive deep into the trial of Michael Peterson and discuss and dissect the prosecution and defense testimonies. They break down the episode into two parts.

In part 1, they detail the first eight episodes leading to the end of the trial and then comment if they agree or disagree with the decision that was made by the Jury. They breakdown the evidence from both sides and give opinions on weather or not they should/shouldn’t have been allowed in the case.  Also discussed early on is the Peterson family themselves.

In part 2, the team goes over the re-opening of the case and how the blood spatter analyst caused it.  After they finish discussing the actual documentary, the team gives there opinions on the case, the individuals involved, the justice system, and alternative theories that were not bought up in the documentary.
