Mortal Kombat 11 has only been available to the public for 2 days and is already breaking internal records for Warner Bros. games and NeatherRealm history.  According to VentureBeat, David Haddad, Director of Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, announced Mortal Kombat 11 has had the best launch in the franchises 27-year history. Haddad also mentioned that in the Americas, Mortal Kombat 11 is the largest launch in Warner Bros. Games’ history but didn’t reveal any sales figures.

The Mortal Kombat series has no plans of slowing down either. Haddad went on to say that the team working on the game has years of content planned for the new title. What that content is was not announced.

While the game has only been available for two days, it has received some heat from some fans.  Players of the game are complaining about the high price of the “unlockable” digital content currently available.  While the content can also be unlocked by continual gameplay, fans are also complaining about how long it would take to unlock these items as well.

Overall, fans are happy with the game though as it feels like a nostalgic Mortal Kombat title and that’s a good thing. The fighting is overall still combo heavy.  The controls are similar to earlier titles in the franchise so anyone who has played an MK title will feel at home with picking up a controller and getting started.

Mortal Kombat 11 was released on April 23, 2019 and has already received a price drop on Amazon. Once you add the title to your cart a $10 price drop will be applied.  It is unknown why the price drop happened or for how long it will be available.  The discount applies to all console versions of the game, XBOX One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4.
