Batman #89 **Spoilers** ahead. If you have not read the comic, be warned.

Batman #89 is on shelves now and gives readers their first glimpse at the Joker’s new main squeeze. Punchline is the aptly named new girlfriend of the Clown Prince of Crime. While, not much is known about the character leading up to her appearance the issue still leaves readers to wonder as no real information is given. While bat-fans may need to wait a little longer to get a clear cut look at the Joker’s new vixen. For those who can’t wait, there are some images of Joker’s new girlfriend online and one just below.
Punchline
What has been released about the new female villain was given by Tynion IV and Jorge Jimenez. The later describes Punchline as “silent,” “sexy,” and “terrifying.” The character is also said to be the complete opposite of Joker’s old flame, Harley Quinn. Could that mean she more crazy and psychopathic rather than fun and lighthearted?
If readers want to get a better look at her, they might want to turn to Nightwing and Year of the Villain comics as she is set to make appearances in those before the release of Batman #94.
As a reader of Batman and Nightwing, I recommend readers to pick up Nightwing if they aren’t already reading it. The current storyline is great and is leading up to a tie in with the latest Batman comics/storyline. There have been some slow spots in the last few months with both Batman and Nightwing and it appears it is all finally leading up to a promising pay off. Readers will just have to wait and see how all this comes together.
