CD Projekt Red, famous for the Witcher game series, announced that Cyberpunk 2077, the highly anticipated RPG, will be shown at E3 later this year, but it, unfortunately, will not be playable. While the public won’t be able to play the game, the company will be. This was confirmed in a tweet by the company and is as follows:

“To answer many questions about the demo and whether or not Cyberpunk 2077 will be playable at E3–we are going to be hosting gameplay presentations (game played by us) in that cinema,”

It was then followed up with tweet by Marcin Momot, CD Projekt Red global community lead, clarifying that:

“these showings will be different” from what’s been seen before, but that he won’t “go into details now” about what fans can expect.

The company is even claiming to want to be a bigger entity in at E3 this year and was even stated so in a blog post. Adam Kiciński, CD Projekt Red CEO, said:

“We will be taking part in the upcoming edition of E3, which is shaping up to be the most important fair in CD Projekt’s history. We want to be even more prominent in Los Angeles than we were last year.”

A game that was announced with a teaser in May 2012, is still not ready for the public to play is a letdown, to say the least. The CD Project Red store is even selling merchandise based on the game when no one has officially been able to get their hands on it.  With how long fans have been waiting for the game, we can only hope it lives up to all the hype.
